Introducing the Regency style
The Regency style was a phase of Georgian architecture that describes the period during King George IV’s reign and his time as Prince Regent (1811-1830). It is visually rich in style, characterised by fluted pilasters, decorative friezes and a refinement of Classical architectural details.
Some of the best examples of Regency style properties are in Cheltenham and London, with their grand rows of stuccoed houses all exuding a refined elegance.
Experienced Regency house renovations in Cheltenham and London
Property Conservation Co is experienced in undertaking Regency house renovations, both in Cheltenham and London. This includes renovating specialist Regency period details such as decorative ironwork to entrance porches and balconettes, refurbishment of original sash windows, repairs to interior arches and refurbishment of moulded cornices and other intricate plasterwork.
Externally, Regency property restoration includes lime render and stucco, roof and wood rot repair, and restoration of entrance columns and pathways.
